It has been a rather busy month, but not too much for chores. We have about 300 head around but only have about 3 hours of chores a week.
There is to be a system moving in that will drop us to -47 this week, so we did about 5 hours today, moving fence for the young bunch, moving slabs for cows, and moving slabs for calves and opening up some more bale grazing for them.

Also took a short video of calves for marketing. Will do a better one as we get closer to selling

And we had a young man turn 9 on the weekend

This is his sister's oil rig, built by his Uncle Dan. When Billy told her he was going to buy her out, her uncle thought she needed a new revenue stream. He built all the toys in the next photos, including the three deck mower on the Massey by the oil rig.

We also have a 1/64 scale grain terminal in our basement that is about 3 feet high and 6 feet long that I will try to photograph one day. I think Billy may be his Uncle's new hobby.
He also bought a new jigsaw with a gift card from another uncle.

I think his uncle was probably thinking about a nintendo game, but a saw is cool.

Looks like he struck it rich. I love those home made toys I wish I would have had some like that when I was little. I had a big tub of old hair rollers that my grandma didn't use any more that I set on end and twisted a bit in the carpet for my portable panels when I was little. :D Nice photos

The real portable fence matches the toy portable fence...I'd like to have both... :D I get more into playing with my boys farm sets than he does I think. Looks like a great bunch of calves and fun is being had.

that's the kind of farmin' i can handle. :D it looks like he's almost to the point of needing a hired man.
I have first dibs. Apparently he has several hired men, and pays them $100 an hour, but they also have to work 24 hours a day. Good money, tough boss.
