Cake feeder

Here's a cheapy cake feeder from the drought years when we wintered on flax straw and screening pellets. It golds about 90 -5 gallon pails-there's two holes cut in the tire face so each revolution it dumps a pile. You can pic it up with a bale deck or 3 point hitch unroller.

Don't say it! I didn't look close enough. Now I see the holes in the tires. They're bigger than I expected.

Holey balls NR when I first saw that pic I thought you must be sneaking around my yard with a camera. I even painted the plywood on the sides the same green. I just used one tire, a big wide one off a combine. Mine has a frame sorta like a bale fork so it goes on the 3pt. Works great for feeding pellets with straw.

Learned sumthin new here! Never have seen anything like that before...sure wouldn't want to fill it..but would like to see it in action.

Is there a divider on the inside? What keeps it from leaving too big a pile? Seems like it would be like a 5 gal bucket each rev.

That's about right-if you make too small a piles on snow they just tramp them in.
