Go to the search tab at the top and type scours into the keyword search box. Here's one of the hits with five pages of replies - just to get you started:

Welcome to Ranchers and good luck with your calf.

Wow, I just read the last few pages of that scour thread. That was a lot of effort for a calf. If you aren't successful in a few days, I recommend a hot lead injection.

I usually take them off milk, and give them scourguard for a couple or three days. Just keep them hydrated. Start them back on milk when they are full of scourguard.

I've been thinking it would be a good idea to learn to give an IV. Seems like if they get down too far hydrating orally can be pretty tough.

We use 6 cc of scour halt. At one feeding then the next. In between I subcutaneous 1000 ringers.
If they are bad 2cc of banamine and subcu them again.

Yes this is for a Dairy operation so we handle the heifers as soon as they drop and as for the bulls they are taken to the sand pit.
Someone said they paid $25 for a bull calf ...we wish we could get someone to buy ours. Beats having to put them down.

thaks for the all the advice,i started giving him scour guard last night,he was up and walking today and looking a bit better. ill keep you informed of the progress.
