Calving Report

Calving has gone well, and I'm almost 3/4 done .

Here's one of my favorite cows, due to her spotted feet. Randi's pic reminded me of her.

It's never a good sign to see the placenta before the calf :roll:

The ending wasn't too good, but this twin lucked out and got her own mom out of the deal :? .

Meet "Pete" .

This is where Pete likes to ride in the Kabota when I'm not looking. Surely he wouldn't chew the wiring up .

Calves on a frosty morning.

I separated the yearlings from the cows and they're back to eating grass and cake .

The horses .

Calves and the yearling heifers look good!

I like the looks of pete, I am partial to tri colors though.

My dad never did like jerky. He says it reminds him too much of dried afterbirth. :wink:

You can definitely tell which heifers have Gelbvieh influence, they're just a lot thicker :wink: . My new Balancer bulls come today, and I'm excited to see how they work out :wink: .
