Sounds like this was true up there a few weeks ago.. we're supposed to get up in the 35 degree area today here, you gotta love a chinook!.... maybe it'll melt some of this snow

Canadian Poem

It's winter in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At forty-nine below.

Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And you nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada
'Cause my ass is frozen to the ground!!

When it's winter in Canada
And you need to go to town
Remember your survival gear
In case you should break down

A pair of mitts and shovel too
If you should hit the ditch
Then you'll dig right back out again
And not have time to #%itch.

Always be prepared they say
Wherever you should go
And always keep in mind the rule
To not eat yellow snow.

Keep your mittens on your hands
Keep your tongue off metal things
Don't lose your hat, or get wet feet
And you'll make it through to spring.

:? Drove to work this am in a white-out blizzard, windchills high 30's.Ya I sure appreciate these poems.....stupid ancestors   :p

We've got complete white-out, too. Great weather ...................... if you're a polar bear! :x

Well you two- you sent it my way now!!!!!

It was 36 degrees here and beautiful at 4PM-- by 6PM the temp had dropped to 5 degrees- the wind is howling 30-40 mph and the windchill is about 20 BELOW....Luckily so far no snow...

Temp is supposed to keep heading down to about 15-20 Below tonite and only get up to 5-10 below for a high tomorrow...

This is supposed to be fast moving and move out to the east by Sunday :)

It was a beautiful day in my neighbourhood today :) . Sun was shining, temps were decent, but the other side of the lake had white out conditions.
Its kinda snowy tonight with a bit of a breeze. Could be a lot worse though. :)

Bah, -31C this morning with wind taking it down to -45C. Dropping to -39 by tonight. Ghads, I got alot of work to get done before calving season, but I ain't freezing my tail off today :)

12 Below this morning with a windchill between 35-40....Not a fit day for man and beast...
Waiting to get everything warmed up to go feed- as I don't see any big hurry as nothing has stuck its head out of the brush or hole it crawled into..
Still not getting the snow everyone else was- some going east of us and some going west of us......

What do you think of this weather Kato? Sure is a cold one out there?

Everybody cuss's Canucks evenly when one of those Alberta Clippers moves thru!!!

High today was minus 7-- 10 Below right now- 30 Below chill factor....The only good news is the wind dropped this afternoon enough the old cows even went out grazing...Only blowing 15-20 mph now.....
