Here are some pictures of the caves we toured. It was very interesting, and I guess we found out that the kids aren't claustraphobic....

Probably close to 30 years ago, when we were much younger and in better physical condition, we took several of our young, hired hay crew members on the Wind Cave Spelunker tour. There were several physical requirements because is was fairly demanding. They fitted us with lighted hard hats and we needed heavy clothes, boots and gloves not only because of the cool temperatures, but also because of the jagged rocks we encountered. It lasted several hours which took us off the beaten path of the regular tours, through cracks only big enough to belly crawl through and in total darkness. It was a very interesting glimpse of what cave explorers do on a daily basis and was lots of fun. I'd recommend it to anyone who's adventuresome enough.

I'll pass, because I probably couldn't. I'll leave cave crawling, coal mining and bull riding to braver souls than me.

Yeah, they still do that, and I think it would be quite neat. But we had the kids with us and they were too young for that one.
