Moved 120 heifer pairs to their summer grass today. Gathered, drove 3 miles through grass, brush and timber, through two gates and everyone matched up at destination. Had a Cat and a dog to help me.
Two years now and have only had to tighten gate and door hinge bolts occasionally.Nice when a plan comes together.
I see you got your Aluminum trailer. I know we talked about them but I might have forgotten that you got it.
Forgot to add, I was wearing a ball cap and gum boots too. Shoulda been a cowboy, shoulda learned to rope and ride….The green stuff hurts my eyes
You are a top hand my friend. I know guys who couldn't move 12 heifer pair without six guys helping
If you'd get a white jumpsuit you would be a chicken plant worker down here. I'll wear rubber boots if the grass is wet but I hate them. My favorite thing growing up was to be horse back. When I wasn't on a horse I was with them in the pen with a brush in hand or a hoof pick ( even though I never found anything to pick) I've had a horse or two since but riding is like fishing of hunting, I sit there thinking of all that I need to do . I have told myself that when I make it to old age I'll get one again and be horse back every day ...., but not today. I've got lots to do today.Forgot to add, I was wearing a ball cap and gum boots too. Shoulda been a cowboy, shoulda learned to rope and ride….![]()
