Checking bulls

The heat has finally hit us- 90 yesterday- 90+ today and predictions of near 100 tomorrow...
Went north this morning to check on bulls- since the neighbor moved about 300 head into the pasture bordering on the south- and often the bulls like what is on the other side of the 3 wire fence better...


Found the first bunch of cows gathered around one of the the community swimming pools...




And where the girls are- happily I did find some of the boys... Bannon #2 taking a swim with some girlfriends....


While Juanada Rito 06X- 16741353 cruised the poolside...


And sang songs to the girls...


While some sunbathed and enoyed the heat/sun after this long cool spring...

While 652 looks on and says he wants to grow up to be a herd sire like his daddy ..

They look content and doing well. Hope your grass stays strong and you get moisture with the sunshine.

Your area looks great, with lots of green grass and plenty of water in the pools. The cattle look to be in fine form also. All the way from Nebraska to Rockglen, Saskatchewan and back by a different route, the country is green and pretty. Hopefully the stockpiles of grass on the ground and hay in the bales will build up some spare reserve again.

Yep- country definitely looking good.. Things are going to start drying out if we keep getting temps like the 98 degrees today...
