Halterless saddle broncs?

I see the gray had a halter .

It's "ranch bronc riding," and you can hang on any way you want to. The reasoning is that the rider can mess up a good bronc by hanging on to both the halter rope and the saddle. Trying to get the bronc out of the arena without a halter didn't work too well on some of them.
