My favorite western artist is Chris Owen. If you'd like a take a look at his work, here is the link
to view his paintings. Sadly, I only have one but I'm planning to get another. We have Tim Cox paintings, but my very favorite is Chris Owen. Take a look:

When working as a "Tax Preparer", the place I was working was just across the street from an gallery.. Occasionally my employer would send some one to some of the other businesses to get change/break larger bills. I went into this gallery one day looking for change and stumbled onto some wildlife paintings by Tom Mansanarez. I thought sure I would get back there to buy one or two, but time slid by and a few years later that gallery had disappeared.
I was so impressed with his paintings, especially the ones with the hounds. There was one called Leap of Faith that was pretty neat, but does not seem to be available any more. So don't wait to long to get that painting you want. :)

Mansanarez has done a few paintings of horses, but most are of big game animals in North America.

I tried to narrow it down to just one, but am stuck on these three. :)
I am a bit partial to the greys.

I have "Heading up French Glen" by William Matthews hanging in the living room. I have had that one for over 12 years. My wife owned a ranch just south of there for about 14 years. A couple from church lives just west of there a ways. They walked into our house the picture stopped them. They have the same print on their wall. They knew both the painter and the cowboy in the picture.

I have friends that have that very picture and I've always loved it.
