Merry Christmas Everyone! I couldn't join my family today for dinner because of the weather, but that didn't stop the cows from getting their Christmas feed :D .

Ed ready to go to work this morning, I wasn't quite as enthusiastic leaving my warm house :? .

My cat... and no, I didn't go adopt a cat, he adopted me. He showed up in August, and was so thin I figured he was going to die. He's pretty tough, and is starting to look like a cat these days, lol.

Feeding them the first bale of hay, they were pretty appreciative, lol.

I've got the heifer calves in with the cows, and they're holding their own. The best part is they bahave like cows, not silly yearlings ;)

How I cheat to get the core off the spinner. I REALLY didn't want to get out of the warm tractor more than necessary, lol!

Ed liking the heated cab of the tractor too, lol. The scab on his face is from getting kicked a few weeks back. He's not quite as quick as he used to be, but still is very effective in keeping the cows away while I cut twine off the bales.

Now, if I can find my way home, I'll be set.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! :D

I'll bet your ladies just thought Santa Claus had a green sleigh.

Another bad thing about getting out of a warm tractor or pickup is that you miss what is happening on the radio.

Merry Christmas, WyomingRancher, and thanks for the pictures.

Great Pics and Merry Christmas WR too, and everyone here at Ranchers.

Sorry that you have to miss dinner with your family.

I love Ed , sounds like a special guy to have around.

I was thinking about your pics..and thought that I'm glad that I don't have to watch for boulders during a blizzard...it's bad enuff to watch for bull holes or blowouts...cause it was hard to see here today too! So what did ya fix you and your 4-legged crew for Christmas dinner??? Stay warm!!

What a great set of pictures! Makes me wish I had a cab tractor for feeding . . . gets a little dirty some days. But I usually don't have to be out too long to get the job done.

Sorry you couldn't make it to your relates for dinner. Hope you at least cooked up a nice steak.
Those black cows look well set for winter.

God is Great, CABS are good, Ranchers are Crazy

Thanks for the pictures WR, ya'll wont know the satisfaction you feel from feeding until you dont anymore. I guess I will live vicaiously thru yours and soaps Christmas pictures. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone

WR, your cat looks like my "Wildcat". Wildcat is packing a few more pounds though. He likes to clean up the calf slobbers in the feed bunks after they eat their cracked corn/DDG. And Wildcat blends right in with his corn/DDG camo fur coat!  :D

No feeding done here yesterday or today. I put out about 3 days worth of hay on Thurs if it doesn't get snowed under. Hopefully the cattle stay put and don't drift out of shelter.

Right now it looks like it will take me a couple hours to get out of the yard. Which will be after the wind goes down and I don't think that is going to happen today.

I didn't have any meat thawed out, and was too lazy to trudge out to the freezer in the shop, so I ate a carton of Peppermint ice cream instead  :D . Didn't even put it in a bowl, just kept shoveling it in  . My family said they would cook me steak and shrimp once I got back into town!!!

I think i would keep the meat in the house and the ice cream in the shop. :D

I would be in better shape that way.
