Coaches Nightmare

I had to make the cuts for my AA PeeWee team today-alot of coaches just hand out letters saying if they made it or not. I prefer to have meeting with the player and his or her parents-it's awful telling an 11 year old that they just got cut but if you approach it with some positives it makes it a bit better. Emily is pretty pumped to be playing AA boys hockey-she is an excellant skater but needs to work on her shot and puck decisions. Of the five kids we had to let go only one parent took it the wrong way-rink tantrums don't impress me much at all.

My coach allways met with the players he had to cut. He once to knocked out by a angry mother who child could barely skate let alone had any buisness playing travelling hockey. we allways ribbed him about coaching and playing a rough sport and then getting knocked out cold by a 5'4" lady.
