What can I do?
Our 2 little females have now killed 2 of my son's rabbits. They killed his female that was a gift from a family friend and now they killed his first rabbit he bought with his own money.
Both times the rabbits had gotten out of their cage, so I can't fully blame the dogs.

What training steps do I need to take?
My son is starting to hate the pups.
It seems to be just one pup who is doing it. :(

Your son can't blame it on the dogs, the rabbits got out. The only way to remedy the situation is to make sure the rabbits don't ever get out. MCG has a rabbit, he lives outdoors in his cage and has never gotten out. The Corgis like to bug him from underneath (mesh flooring, they can see the rabbit) but I don't let them get in contact with the bunny. Corgis are herding dogs, when something runs away, they will definitely chase it. What happens after they catch up with the runaway rabbit...welll...you found out....We have two other dogs that have been around cats all their lives, they killed one and hurt two others. I know the type of barking noise they (all our dogs) make when they have something cornered and I make sure to see what it's all about. Usually they have one of my kittens "treed" and I have to call them off.

If you have one pup doing it, the other will catch on. I have another idea, but I'll PM it to you. Hope this helps

Hanta Yo--you mean you are letting those DOGS traumatize those
witty bitty wabbits? :P

They used to, but don't anymore, so I guess they've gotten used to him.
All they would do is go underneath the hutch and look up and whine. It never really bothered her rabbit.

I've seen dog chew the feet off rabbits from under hutches - (sad)
Electric Fence wire under rabbit hutches can educate dogs very quick.

I had a dog I couldn't tie-up with a leather or rope leash. One bite and he was loose.

I took a #14 stranded 'insulated' wire and wove it into a leash and put a alligator clip on the end to clip to a fence wire. (tape end of wire)
Old Dog Never bite a leash again!

Leather Leash - punch holes about 2" apart to weave wire through
