Country Pleasure Driving Class gone wrong

Without intending to sound condescending! Nobody had a rope? Or some one a horseback with half a clue? It looked like the people present were almost as flighty and spooked as the horses. Hope all were alright after the wrecks.

Heeeellllooooo, please refer back to gcreek's post!!!

Agreed! And LOTS of folks who own horses don't know a thing about them. I used to get a kick out of some of the "Rodeo cowboys" i knew while competing that would fall off and get drug to death just packing salt! Grandpa used to say he "wouldn't make a pimple on a real cowmans a$$" talking about dudes and wanna-bes!

Mantracker and BMR would have slowly followed the tracks and wore it down mentally and then stepped in and shut the thing down. None of these folks would do that good at Calgary, Ot.

I would of built a horse-sized box, tilted it up on a 45 degree angle. used a two by four as a prop, tied on a string and baited it with some over priced haycubes. When that sucker went in there to investigate, Presto! One trapped stupid, panicky, spoiled, emptyheaded walking glue container captured! Not sure how i'd caught the horse though!

I hate to see things like this. BUT, why didn't the other people GET OUT .

Staying on board in the ring was STUPID.
When the runaway was opposite the gate....ease on out with your horse.

Things like this just make me madder'n hell!!

The people made the whole situation worse in the long run

I always think about the horse. and the first horse was terrified.
The second horse, after a bit, just looked to me like he was
having fun.

The producers of the show certainly weren't prepared for something
like this. Like someone mentioned, they needed a cowboy there
with a rope.

And ya, it was like the people didn't think they were in harms way...
and these are supposed to be horse people???
Lead, follow, but get the heck out of the way!!!

I am sorry that folks got hurt in the incidence.

Jumping in front of that rascal was a poor decision. I feel bad for the guy that got way-laid, but he wasn't qualified to be "helping out". Guess we all do the best we can in a bad situation.
