The lights dimmed in the Cow Palace, Spot Lights shown on Dale as he was announced into the Arena.
The cowboys had their own way to welcome would be stars - as he rode by the Bull Cutes, it was "Chaps and Cowbells" - his Flaxen Maine horse disappeared in to the dark - spot lights searched everywhere - the house lights came on to find Dale sitting with his left leg around his saddle horn down by the roping chutes with a big Smile on his Face.

In 1957 Denver - Dale Robertson and Audy Murphy let this 17 year old, Air Force GI, Would-be Cowboy, ride their Pony Horses at will.
