Ty and his buddy Cody tok off hunting right after schoolbut I had to unload some hay. As soon as i got done Emily and I headed to the bush. I pointed out a fresh track and about a minute later she pointed out this fella. This is the buck I passed up in muzzie season but when my youngest hunting partner told Dad to shoot I listened lol. I think she's got whitetail fever. Check out my next post for a truly world class 4x4 that Cody shot tonight.

Here is Cody's buck-if you can believe it Ty and I passed him up in muzzleloader too-he is just a pig of a deer. Look at his broken nose-the old campaigner probably wouldn't of made the winter. Those g2's are probably 13 inches-we'll put the tape to him after the boys are done skinning.

Those bucks look mighty good. You folks earned your trophies hunting in minus 30 degree weather, but your efforts paid off. Sure keeps the kids from dragging Main and getting into trouble.

Here's a couple happy hunters-nothing like big bucks in -30 to get you smiling.

Nice bucks-- but I don't think they make them big enough to get me out hunting at -30 anymore...Now I remember doing it 20 years ago-- but that just isn't the "fun" it once was.....I think all that "fun" back then is what made me and Arther Itis such close companions....

I love hunting in the nasty-seen some great deer in whiteouts-you can walk right up to them in the bush.Sara still has a buck tag and -Moose-is still out there.

 Holy crap....those are nice :!: Congrates all around :D

I give you tons of credit hunting in this weather with your amount of snow and bagging them babies cause its dang cold out today :!:

Corey,if you don't mind I'm going to save these pics and show gregs bro's when they're down hunting the last couple days

No problem Mrs.Greg-my buck scored 147 3/8 if they want to know. Sara is the only one left with a buck tag now-she's pretty fussy but there's still a couple big Thumpers out there for her. It actually wasn't too bad hunting this morning-you could hunt along and not get sweated up much. Ty and I still have doe tags so we can hunt these last two weeks and see what bucks got through the rut. it's just amazing how those big whities beat the beejeezus out of each other.

Nice bucks!!! I think Sara is going to out do both of you though. If she is as picky as my partner she will for sure. Our hunting is over for the year but we had a good season. I could have choked MCG on Sunday the last day, we had a nontypical stag still in velvet, laying down 50 yards from us. I could count 7 different points going in all directions, with probably more points I could not see. I did not have a gun as it was her day to get a deer and she would not shoot because it was laying down. I told her that as soon as it gets up it will be gone so you better shoot now. It jumped up and disappeared. That was a trophy I would have had mounted just cause it was so unique. Probably never see him again. Oh well.  Must be a girl thing
