Hi,
Has anyone sent any colts to him? It's a draw between him and Cayley Wilson at the moment for who will show my two year old next summer, they both are sooo talented.

Personally greg and I would pick David,we've heard nothing but good about him,our BIL is pretty good friends of his. Haven't taken a horse to him yet but sure think its real possible in the future :!:

oh and hes not too far from our place so you could stop in for a visit, should be safe, our house is a one level...no bannisters :secret:

I heard he was really good but don't know anyone who has used him. I refuse to show horses, so I needed someone competant to take the zippmyster into the ring :) I'll be sure to wear a helmet when I pop in for a visit :) ( It should minimize things I can get stuck in  ) LOL

Cayley Wilson is doing very well on quite a variety of horses. Probably the deciding factor will be who has room to take on your horse Judith, as they are all pretty busy. Good luck either way. If you're looking for cow horse trainers, John Swales is also very good, and lives west of High River.

Cayley Wilson did a great job with Zippy's brother Otoes Zantastic Paint. I think he is 5 this year and is doing fairly well. But David rode his sire Otoes Zantastic and did really nicely with him. i think he had him for a month or two not long. Otoes Zantastic was just gelded and they will be showing him again in 2007 not sure with whom. He was a lovely stud, but Jill has made the choice to get out of breeding.

Cayley did do a great job with Otoes Zantastic Paint, & Dave did a great job with Otoes Zantastic, who is gelded now, but the difference between them is Cayley will train & show your horse, & Dave only trains now, he no longer shows.

Unfortunately it doesnt matter any longer as Zippy is no longer with us  He is the colt that passed away .....

My boy lay down in the straw, got soaking wet (cuz we have about 18 inches of mud under the ice which melted....)went hypothermic and after 6 hours of trying to warm him up he died. :( This is the colt that i have been soo excited about getting going under saddle. Such a disposition and so clever. He is definately one of the good ones and will be missed .

you know, of course, it only happens to the good ones.

Did you say how old he was?

Thats the first thing that went through my head. Sorry Judith I didnt know it was one of your more special colts.
I know with myself thats always in the back of my head. $5000 represents a fortune to us<we dont have much money>. So when a colt gets to this point I tend to sell because im always scared something will happen to it.

Hey guys he was a March 2004 baby :) and yes it always is the special one. Like I was saying this was going to be my own personal riding horse. I havent raised one for myself in years as everything here always has a price tag. I had him up for sale as a yearling but that changed......
