Been awful busy here at the o'dell creek the past few weeks!! Took demodriver to Helena to register for her college classes and got the finishing touches on her graduation party!! Mama here handled the ceremony real well.....til they began the slide show (with music, of course) and then the eyes began to water!! Folks....time truly does fly and before you know it...they are all grown up and leaving "the nest"!!

at her "after graduation" party...contemplating her future!!!

just judging by the facial expressions in the pics you post, she must be one heck of a kid. seems like a real blast to be around.... congrats! and good luck!

Congratulations on raising such an ambitious daughter, Ranchwife! We have kids at the same stage in life and I can identify with your words. While we are proud to see them move out into greater independence, it can be tough to see them leave the nest.

But Daddy's don't cry when it happens ,do they. O.K. I lied, some do. This one does.

Good job Demodriver! You look very happy. You are making me feel old ranchwife, cause I think we are the same age. :???: My kids are giving me grey hairs, so my turn is coming. lol.

Good luck in the future Demodriver.

Just finished watching the DVD that one of the girls in the class made for everyone and it most certainly is a Kleenex movie!!! All the kids turned in countless pix of their lives and so many of gussie in there...from baby to beautiful young lady and it was pretty hard to watch how her 18 years flew by and was wrapped up in less than an hour of video!!  I am so very proud of her, though!! As much as I am gonna miss her when she goes 110 miles north for college, it will be MUCH worse on the 2 little ones left at home!! They absolutely WORSHIP their big sis and are NOT looking forward to August 23rd...MOVING DAY!! Hard not to be excited for her when you see how very happy she is that "IT'S OVER"!! High school did not leave a whole lot of happy memories for her (except, of course, for her basketball) and not much will be missed!! Onward and upward!!

I guess there REALLY is a "little bit of captain in each of us"!

Gussie reading a poem she wrote for her mentor, friend and basketball coach at the Athletics Awards and Banquet!! Titled simply "Coach", it got a standing ovation and brought tears to more than just my eyes...including all of her teammates, thus, the reason all the girls wore "shades"!! 8)

Riley's 8th birthday...gussie ran to Bozeangeles and got him an ice cream cake and planned for some "water sports" for the kids and they all had a blast!!

Birthday spankings from big sis....except she seemed to keep forgetting "what comes after 7??"

best 88 cents I ever spent was on these "disc guns" from k-mart!! Heck, most of the parents took them from the kids and went at it.....as is witnessed here by cowboyup shooting at some of the other guests!!

Knew I had to check in to see if you posted pics! Sure wish we could have been there  It was a tough decision, but the right one because we had bad storms come through. The fire on us on Thurs nite was scary....too early for fires

Gus, you do well in college and there will be no roadblocks! Congratulations and we really wish we could have been there   You are a wonderful young lady and your future is out there ready to be made!!! :D

It will be hard for us when MCG goes, she is the last one left at home

Congrats to all of you. It is odd that such a happy occasion can bring so many tears.

Tip................buy some oil co stock as you are gonna need it when college starts, hope you invested in Kleenex also.

Hanta---I hear you loud and clear about the storms....heard a rumor today that a man near Twin bridges lost his cabin to a lightning strike!! With as dry as things have been, you have to watch those danged storms very vigilantly!! Hope you are getting some of this moisture that we are getting today......very much needed and very much welcome!!
:D
