Did I do the right thing???? (MONSTER whitetail!!!)

Well, last night I was out bow hunting, and I saw an absolute monster uck!!!! I belly crawled 200 yds (we mapped it out with the truck later on) and got wihin bow range. I pulled up my bow, came to full draw, and saw that the buck was standing in the cemetary that my grandfather is burued in. I set down my bow, kneled down and said a prayer, then walked upo to him..... when I hit 5 yartds he trotted away. I have a feeling grandpa was watching.


Did I do the right thing?

Yep, you sure did. That is called RESPECT!
The buck will be back, Grandpa will see to that.

Saw him there again this AM before shooting light..... brought a tear to my eye. Grandpa's dying wish was for me to take a buck all on my own for him.... I had help las eyar, so Im gonna give it my all this time around.
