Diesel EGR Issue

at 113,000 miles the Duramax ERG system is plugging up according to the code the dealership ran
Dealership says cleaning it out with a new egr valve does not really work that well and putting on a new system is over
1200 dollars.
Is there a better way to just disconnect the system

Take it to an independent diesel shop, not a dealer. Remove it all.

I would buy about a 300$ tuner to delete the engine codes and put straight exhaust from the turbo back with simple muffler. The pipe system w muffler around 300. No more problems for sure.

Delete codes meaning when You take old stuff off unplugging all those wires will send codes out the wazoo.
