We have one of those for the kids... Well, it was for my daughter but now it has turned into the dog cool down section. When I was using smaller tanks the Kelpies used to go swimming in those after a work out... I always knew when blue had had enough for a while because he would look at me, look at the tank, look at me, look at the tank with jsut this PLEASSSSSSSE look on his face. I would get have way through nodding my head at him and saying Okay and he would be floating in the tank, soaking it all in. Punk.

This came about out of necessity as each and every time we'd go to the pastures....of course they'd swin in the creek but when we got back to the barn and near the drinkers....SPLASH...here'd they go head first in to the drink tubs! Cows...or at least my picky bunch...don't like to drink after dogs!!

The Blue Heeler tries to dig out the impression of the scuba diver on the bottom of the pool...so I'm guessing this one won't last long!! Better get another one to have on hand!!

LOL..I wished I were a picture taker. The Heeler we just lost. She would get in the small trough part of her self waterer. I couldnt figure out why I had to fill it up 3 times a day. Finally we had been outside and sat down on back porch. Here she comes splash splash..and sits her behind in the trough part then preceeds to splash herself. Yep, been saying we needed one of them little pools for the yard. They still will high tail it to the creek if I aint watching. My corgi LOVES the Creek...she would live down there instead of in the house even. Nothing spoiled about any of the dogs on this site...lol

Cuteeee pics in this thread...;) FH new idea for HOT SUMMER PIC CONTEST?? "Cooling off" be it man or beast?

Along with being a dam good Working Dog Fiddle was A Bouncer in the local WateringHole - While I was out makeN the rounds Fittle would BabySit the girl Bar-tenders at our Home Bar.

He would camp in the store room behing the Bar - - If/when a fight would break-out Fiddle would jump-on the Beer Case and up to the Bar and with a loud ""Grerrr"" would take comand of the sitution.

I'd get home "No Fiddle" so I'd go to bed - around 5AM I'd hear my gate and a scratch at the door.

Then the next day I'd hear the stories. :!:

DAM 8) DOG WAS GETTING MORE ACTION THAN I WAS :!:
