Looks like a pair of well built strain braces are missing too! Nieghbors! The pallet bandaid is impressive. :D Do you plan to paint them to match the gate? :P

No paint necessary, I was going for that rustic wood look.

Thats pretty funny  That reminds me of a time when I sold some hay to a guy that just moved out to the country didn't have clue about anything. So as I was waiting the 3 hours that it took him to unload the hay I was walking around admiring this guys place and I was standing there looking at his 4 wire fence that he told me he just put up, and every wire that he went around his corner post instead of taking the wire and twisting it back around the wire he had two bolts and a hose clamp holding the wire together. Now that method worked but I just got a good laught out of it

I think your on to something....... It's actually a well conceived plan to keep Triangle Bar's fleshy, fat cattle out of his neighbors place while allowing the poor, skinny cows inside to poach grazing and come and go as they please! Keep your eye on the new guy!

Yeah but eventually they'll be fat and tubby too from eatin on Triangle Bar's side....and won't fit back thru that "small hole". Talk about profitable ranching. That neighbor is helpin them out without ever realizin it.

Maybe they are lerkers on Ranchers....and will learn proper fencing skills from this thread. I should go take a picture of our neighbors attempt at puttin in a fence with a gate. It's worse than that now. Looked real nice at first......but now it's hidious....And I think the patch was also wooden pallets. I'll hafta make a trip to the back and take some pictures haha.
