The hay tests are in and are about what I suspected.
The crude protein in all samples was 7.4 as a high to 7.1 as a low
Digestable protein % was 4.1 as a high to 3.8 as a low .
TDN was 48%.
So cotton seed is ordered, these fields were all tested prior to planting and fertilized as required, this just confirms what we already know, weather is the deciding factor, just too wet to get in,I watched these fields ......boot,mature, mildew and then mold.
good luck

You can do everything right but the weather gods get the last say  Putting up good feed can test even the most dedicated but of course there's always NEXT YEAR :!:

Good for you for getting it tested, Haymaker. At least now you know you aren't buying supplement you don't need. Getting a forage test is money well spent...actually some of the best money you can spend in a ranching operation.

One more thing, what was the Dry Matter test on that? Or is
that what you posted? I forgot to tell you to use those numbers, as moisture doesn't count on a forage test (no nutrition in it.)

Also, just curious here. Did they give you an ADF on it?
If so, what was it?

Thanks!!!
