The bales were dry and standing up fine. This is at the neighbors and they assured me the the thunder and flash of fire happened simultaneously. That is his truck that he was watering a paddock of cattle with. When harvest gets underway out on the flats we all will have firefighting units ready. I have seen a few too wet bales burn up this year as well. The fire chief lives about a mile from here and the fire hall is about 2 miles away. Also there are several commercial water truck outfits close by. The better your are as a grass manager the higher the fire danger.


BMR you and me are equally rickety as are some of our fences. Some of those 70 year old cedar post fences are standing up better than the more modern 40 year old fences.
