I have used "fescue mineral'\" for several years but I have purchased it at TSC and they no longer stock it.

I found another dealer that is promoting Biozyme "VitaFerm" and it is supposed to be the greatest thing on the market so I bought a few bags and was wondering if any of you have used the product?

I forgot to add they are claiming that with the Garlic they include that the insects will stay away - - - I have only had it out about 5 days so I will report back on my findings

We have garlic in some of our Vigortone mineral. I haven't sold a bag of it, but it is supposed to help with fly control. The IGR
works so well for our customers that we haven't had to use that with garlic.

What is in the Vita-Ferm? I don't think we can answer your question until we know the ingredients as usually there are several formulas. Would you mind posting the ingredients and the % analysis? Does it have Vitamin E, does it have yeast culture? There are just some things we would need to know to weigh in on it.

The link shows up on my post???? here it is again http://vitaferm.com/vitaferm-heat-products/

This is the tag off a bag. The dealer said I will probably stop spraying for flies in about 2 weeks - - - this sounds great to me if it holds true!!!

OK, The cattle have been on the mineral a couple of weeks now - - - much less time in the creek - - - about a 90% reduction in flies - - - face flies almost gone but still a few horn flies. They did consume double the recommended rate at first, I put a salt block in the tub and they are about at normal consumption now.

If I continue to get these results over a couple of months I will love it!

You can actually smell garlic when the cattle walk by!

This is $36.00 per 50# bag - - - about double the mineral I normally use but well worth the cost if I continue to get these results.
