We're finally got somewheres with that fence along the road after a few weeks of procrastination by the counselor. The fencing crew's supposed to start on it today, running a six-wire fenceline all along the newly-developed road that borders the west side of our quarter section. Then Dad's gonna have them extend a five-wire fencline all the way up to the yard along the road that runs the length south-side of our quarter section. (I'll post pics of the fence line when it's done) So that'll mean that at least 95% of the border our quarter section will be fenced off. :)

Reasons we're putting in a new fence in along there, is:
1) Keeps out the snowmobilers and trikers/quaders (PERMANENTLY) that occasionally like to race across and try to get away with ripping up our hay field
2) Potential to be used as a fourth/fifth pasture when the time is right.

SO,I have a hunch that that means that our stocker's will be put out to pasture (most likely the New Pasture with its new fenceline) again by either the middle of this week or by the end. AND there's been no escapee episdoes since I last posted! :D (Hmmm, I wonder why? )

No word on the pipeline situation though. But I think they're almost done too.

We had two cows get hit by the train in late February...we are still hassling back and forth with the RR to pay for the cows, and get fencing materials so that we can build fence. So.....your deal worked out fairly quick. LOL this thread reminds me that we need to call em again this afternoon and see if they've got our check made out yet. They keep tellin us....to call back......I've let Mr Lilly handle it on the phone so far, except for the first couple times when we started.....looks like I may hafta get on the phone and try new tactics LOL This is gone on long enuff. Been after em to supply fencing material now for 5+ years. :?

 Your county's building you a fence?

 I meant that the county's hired some fence-builders to build the fence for us.
Thats what I meant....we can't get our county to do ANYTHING like that, even if its thier road they claim its up to the oil companys to do it....we have a "cheap" county....
