Got to the barn this morning and this little filly was born in the early am-guessing about 4. Kinda expecting it since the mare was waxed up big time yesterday. After done with chores-snapped a few pics-she is about 6hrs old in these pics.
New Years starting off right--1 for 1 on color... Wahoo!!

Cute! Sure surprised me though to have a colt in January...I'm sure it's common elsewhere, but around here it's usually from April to June for colts...guess maybe it all depends on weather and location. Ya got anymore due soon? Thanks

Usually late January to mid-May is our time for foaling with the bulk in February-March.-April. But this mare is always about 3weeks early. Got about 20 more to go but none probably for another 3 weeks or so.

Oh I love her and her colour. Nothing prettier then a foal...colour it then its perfect :!: :!:

Where the colour coming from? Are you breeding to paint stud? Are you looking for colour? Some don't like that, not us thats what we want.

Yes, Mrs Greg, breed for color. Using 3 Paint stallions -had 4, boss just sold one last week.Probably little better than half of the 30 mares are Quarter. A good horse can be any color but when they are Paint, sure makes them a lot nicer to look at :D Myself, I like a real loud overo.

Me too,I'm partial to the overo but greg he really loves the tobiano, after our last foal was a lethal white though, the overo kinda scares me :(

Our SIL just bought a yearling stud colt,it goes back to Scribbles, and I've always wanted a Scribbles foal so maybe next year. I'll have to take a pic of my two year old, shes a real load overo, and really quiet young lady, she going to be my next riding horse.
