We had a inch and 3/10ths this morning early and the rest of the day was unsettled so I figured I had better catch up in the shop a bit. Put a new starter on my 95 Dodge Cummins since it is my fire truck it would be nice to have it start every time. My daughter's car needed the AC charged but we couldn't get it to take and as the pressure seems to high to start with. The 97 Dodge on the stock trailer took it and now blows nice and cool.
I then started to change the handlebars on my Honda the old ones split the length of the upward curve on one side. They never failed but gave you a strange feeling driving it. I think they were more miserable then the starter. I got them all stripped and loosened up except for the front brake lever. The screws starter to strip and I didn't know how I would get them off. I cut the pipe off so they were loose on a short pipe I drilled and tried to collapse the pipe finally I took the torch and tried to cut some holes in the pipe to weaken it.The heat must have worked it's magic as the tried the screws one more time and they came out like butter. The new handle bars went back in easily.
Tomorrow it's supposed to rain so guess I will tackle the new level wind wire roller I bought thinking it was ready to go. :?
