I was wondering if anyone has experience with straight legs vs curved legs on freestanding windbreak panels. I assume the curved ones are less apt to get froze down. Just wondering what peoples' experience is. Thanks

Don't know about the wind breaks, but the free standing panels with the curved legs sit a lot more solidly and are less likely to be moved around.

A guy here welds a 3 or 4" pipe to the center of an old semi wheel with the tire still on it then he fills the rim full of cement then he bolts 3 or 4 12' boards on it horizontally then nail's the windbreak boards vertical. He has hooks of some sort so he can lift them by the pipes then he just staggers them kinda like snake fence to keep them from blowing over. Uses them in the corrals also to make a quick portable pen.

I have 12 foot legs of the panels I built and I bend them just a little half way on each side. This keeps them from sliding. Then do not get froze down to terrible bad beings only the tips of the legs are froze it.
