Market Review
It has been extremely busy week here at 101 Livestock. From Tuesday July 11th thru July 18 we sold 7895 cattle through our sale ring. Before I get into the market prices we want to really thank all of our consignors & buyers for 3 great sales!! We feel very privileged to have the trust of our customers from as far north as the Lone Pine Ranch in Covelo to Bob Barca from Lompoc; Now to the market.
Azevedo Ranch from Petaluma sold their choice 362# steers @138.00 to top the light steer market; their 460# @ 128.00, 452# heifers @118.50. Ledeit Bros. of San Jose sold 472# @ 128.00, 452# heifer mates @ 119.00. William Crayne Estate of Tomales sold 446# steers @123.25, their 517# heifers @ 112.00. Charles Perkins of Santa Barbara sold his 469# steers @ 125.00, his 513# heifers @ 111.25. Silacci Ranches of Gilroy sold 415# steers @ 128.00, their 447# heifers @114.00. Harry & Rita Serafin of Hollister sold their choice LimoX 448# steers @ 125.10, their 637# heifers @ 108.00, their 618# steers @ 117.25, 781# steers @ 105.50, 740# heifers @ 101.75. Tina Baxley of Paso Robles brought 2 loads of calves this week. Her 561# steers brought 117.25 the heavier penlot of 60 steers weighting 694# @ 109.50, 618# heifer mates @ 108.50. Barney Bray of King City sold fancy CharolaisX steers weighing 763# @ 106.50, 863# steers @ 102.00, his 710# heifers @ 101.00. Vern & Joanne Scattini of San Lucas sold 471# steers @119.00, 469# heifers @ 115.00. Gene Pastorino of Half Moon Bay sold 529# steers @ 119.00, 605# heifers @ 105.75. Richard Vargas of Morgan Hill sold 704# steers @ 106.00 his 675# heifers @ 105.00. Ray Dodd of Paso Robles sold his choice 721# blk steers @ 105.75, his heifers @ 100.50.
Our customers from up north by Tomales were happy as well with Jim Spalletta's 563# steers selling @ 116.00, a load of his 736# steers @ 106.00, 857# steers @ 102.35; Jim's 605# heifers @ 105.25, 693# heifers @ 101.50. L.G. & Doris Burbank sold their fancy 664# steers @ 110.00, 736# steers @ 106.00, their 653# heifers @ 104.75. Leo Ielmorini of Valley Ford sold 539# steers @ 118.50, 668# steers @ 104.75; Leo's 711# heifers @ 96.00. Gino Bordesa, also of Valley Ford sold his 718# steers @ 105.00, his 598# heifers @ 104.00. Martin Pozzi of Valley Ford sold 3 loads of their fancy blk steers 589# @ 115.50, 695# steers @ 106.00, 795# steers @ 104.75, 543# heifers @ 114.00, 633# heifers 103.50.
