A very large Wolf taken at Rugged Outfitting with PH and owner Todd Bunnage in Alberta, Canada. I must confess for a second when I saw the picture first I thought it was a Brown Bear. What a monster of a Wolf. ~

How do they go about hunting them tracking, spot and stalk or what. High power rifle I assume

They can be called in with a good wolf call or drawn in with a good bait pile, ran down with a pickup (especially when the snowbanks get really high) or any number of ways. I figure the end always justifies the means

Roger that. I thought it was a bear at first. That sucker would eat a lot

My first K9 dog was a ( I thought very large ) silver gray German Shepherd named Sam and we weighed him in at 146# - - - seemed huge - - - and I'm sure some of the bag guys thought he was a bear!

He could roar like the lions you hear in the movies when he was frustrated and I will tell you several of the bad guys just heard the roar and quickly submitted! Most of the time he barked or howled like a normal dog.

I lost my old friend to old age in about 1985 after about 12 years of loyal service and I still miss him at times!

I can't imagine a 250# wolf or wolf/dog hybred - - - we had people about 20 years ago that crossed some german shepherds with wolves and got huge pups - - - they were somwhat tame but were not domestic and a couple that got loose caused havoc - - - after about the third lawsuit the people lost everything and I don't know where they went.

Looking at the pictures it is possible some idiot did the same thing and that got loose and caused problems till he met his fate!
