I'm thinking there are problems with the USDA inspection system. We all remember well the JBS scandal. Are the meats coming into this country sufficiently inspected or just hit or miss, and stamped, considering there is evidence of shortcomings just inspecting what's domestically raised. Pushback against disclosure seems suspect as hell. As far as the the adversity to competitive market, yes, some change in oversight is needed.

Also disappointing that those entrusted with our checkoff dollars haven't done something more (if at all) significant and recognizable to our targeted consumers about the whole "impossible" scenario. Some interesting things written that producers will read, but that's not what's most important.
