Saw an article several weeks ago in The Cattle Business Weekly that quoted Jim Robb who is the senior agricultural economist for the Livestock Marketing Information Center. He stated that Australian imports were the main reason cull cow prices are so depressed. Here I thought imports didn't really matter. Go try to borrow money against your cow herd and find out how much they are really worth with 50 cent slaughter cows.
