We had three chances for a well needed rain this last week, according to our local weather (experts). No chance at all yesterday, and what do I wake up to this morning------.60 of beautiful well needed rain. Why do we even need these so called weather experts they only predict what their computer tells them, and cover their rear ends most days by giving us a 20percent chance, I am going to quit listening to them and just keep praying that He will give us the rain we need when we need it. Can u even imagine if us farmers and ranchers were as wrong as often as the weather man is, we would go under in the first month of operation

I always check with 3 different weather outfits, choose the forecast I like (they are all usually different), then spend my time being righteously indignant when I don't get the weather I wanted :D

Ahh, don't be too hard on 'em. They don't make the weather, just an educated guess at what they think it will be. I wouldn't want to have to tell everyone, everyday what the weather is gong to do tomorrow! It sure is hard when they build your hopes up, only to get crushed, so the weathermen are handy to vent our frustations on!

One of the main meteorologists for our area, John Pulasky, was guest speaker at a meeting we attended. He said no one can accurately predict the weather more than 24 hours out. For longer forcasts, they use history for the area and other things, of course. But to be really accurate, they can't.

dad and I weren't very good forecasters yesterday. We left the yard to go fencing after lunch in the sweltering heat and humidity. on the way to the town pastures a big cloud with shreds of funnels rolled by to the north. The wind came up and the temp dropped. we were chilly all afternoon fencing.
How windy was it?

So windy that it was hard getting the crowbar to hit the same hole twice. :o
