Wouldn't you be underdog in size to these schools. I thought these schools were pretty good sized as compared to your school.

they are, indeed, much larger than us....that is why we are FINALLY going back to class C next year...where we should have been all along!! Frustrating when you are playing such larger schools....schools that have an average graduating class of well over 100 and our average class is 24!!! A little "outgunned" I'd say, but it makes our girls even more determined to "kick some big school butt"

Some of these poor little towns keep dying and dying...I was listening to a local C tournament on the radio the other day and Frazers girls team was starting 2 8th graders 2 Freshmen 1 Senior...The announcer commented about it being a "young" team...

Pretty soon they will have to be bringing up the elementary kids to make a full team....

I played on our highschool baseball team when I was in 8th grade.. Kind of fun, only high school baseball I ever got to play since I did a different sport once I actually was in highschool.. Kind of hard when you were 1) playing out of position and 2) playing kids 4 years older than you but I wasn't the worst player on the team.. Did it with soccer a couple of times too...

despite gussie playing her heart out lastnight, the mustangs lost 60-36!! Tonight, we play Manhattan Christian at 4:30.....if we win, then we play in the consolation round tomorrow at 3:00....if we lose, then our season is done!! Sorta makes me sad, since this is "IT" for gussie's high school basketball!!

The sad part about it is most of the time there are girls(and boys) that won't play baketball and "make" memories for a lifetime of playing basketball or other activities. So we have kids sitting on the sidelines and not out in the mix of things.
Good job Gussie...........you make your mother proud.........you found the magic ingredient in a Happy Life
