going to ship lambs

going to Sale Barn in Newell, this Thursday, Prices were a big wo! last year averaged $1800 AU, my calves were less then 1/2 of that last year. But lamb market hits a high and crashes for a few years. Doesn't help with Superior and JBS bringing ship loads in either.

was told Superior lamb.... but their site says all american lamb.

called my lamb buyer today.......I didn't have a smiley face after talking to him.....

Are the meat packers getting all the money? If I can find a lamb chop, the grocery store wants 7 prices for it. The Greek bistro charges $59 for three measly "lamb" chops that taste like old smooth mouth mutton. Maybe the price includes the FREE pepperoncini.

Albertson in Gillette has American lamb, Sholder chops were $6/lb, racks $25/lb, leg was around $12 and loin chops 15. God didn't put enough chops on a Lamb.
