Good Sunday Mornin'

We took a couple of days last week and went to the hills. We climbed around in the mountains some. The trail had some switchbacks in it. We wanted to go west, but spent most of the time going south, southwest, or north, northwest. In the end, we did reach our destination. The switchbacks were there to make the climb easier. Not easy, but easier. Sometimes in life, it seems the Lord is leading us in some direction that appears odd to us, and in fact very difficult. My experience has been that as God leads He has no regard for my comfort zone other than to stretch it! I was considering Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice Isaac. It seemed like the wrong direction and very difficult to say the least, but Abraham's obedience was prompt and complete. God's provision matched the occasion. He assured us that as thy days, so shall thy strength be. Neat, huh? Well have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a fine rest of the week too.

Good points to ponder, Shortgrass. It's like looking down on the map at the "wanderings" of a creek, which turns into a river, which eventually runs into the mighty oceans. For a drop of rain to fall at the "head of the creek," there are a lot of twists and turns until it reaches its destination. In the boat of Life, we just need to allow the Good Lord to be the Captain, hang on tight, and trust Him to guide us safely through.

Thanks Shortgrass.
Almost like you've been on our roads. We went to RapidCity this week. Forty miles of rough, washboardy, graveled roads, then we reached blacktop and only had 100 miles to go. Just cause it gets easier doesn't mean you're there, but it seems to go faster. Kind of like life.

I get busy and don't always get on the computer, but always make sure I read your Sunday messages. Thanks again!
