I am actually ahead of the game for once. I am writing this some 3 weeks before it will be posted. Today and yesterday were sure foggy. We haven't seen the sun; I suppose it is still there. Just too much clutter in the way. It is so hard to keep track of the "Son" when the clutter of commercialized Christmas is bombarding us. The devil is real, and he wants to have the "Son" so obscured that we can't see him. It is up to us to lay aside the weights that so easily beset us. Look to Him who is the author and finisher of our faith. He was made like us, and experienced life as we know it, so that we may know He relates to our infirmities. Then He died so that we might live. Amazing love is it not? The scriptures say that suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men." Let's stop, quiet our hearts, and join the heavenly host in praising God and giving Glory to God in the highest. Have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanks shortgrass. Timely message. I do sincerely wish all here on Ranchers a very merry Christmas. If it wasn't for the lamb without spot, I'd be headed to hell. I'm very glad he was born.

Thank you for the message Shortgrass.

This time of year is always busy for us, and having to deal with the "holiday" crowds is such a hassle.

It's nice to reflect on what the holiday is really all about. I thought I was crazy to breed heifers to calve this time of year, but the weather and the calves love of life was sure fun to be around today.

I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe holiday season. If I don't get back in time......we'll see you next year.

Take care,
Sic 'em and Family

May the Love of God and the Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all this Christmas season. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. May you be blessed in 2008.

Church was canceled here this morning. 6 to 8 inches on the ground now and storm warnings till midnight. Blowing and drifting. Had to shovel snow just to open barn door.

We didn't have to miss church because of the weather. Yesterday was about as nasty as it could get with blowing snow and fairly cold, but it only lasted a few hours.
