We were talking, on some threads this week, of calves that had dog like characteristics; I mentioned a runt pig that my cousins had raised that had learned to chase cars like a dog. One day last spring, I was going to La Junta when I saw a brand new calf nursing on a mare while the mama cow was being held at bay. On the way home, the little mare was penned up, and the calf was properly identified with mother as a member of the bovine species. As Christians, we ought to be able to be identified as such. If you were to be placed on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? If Christ, being God in the flesh, was willing to be identified as one of us, should we not be willing to be identified with Him? He calls us "soldiers." The first thing I did as a soldier was turn in my civilian clothes and put on a uniform that identified me as a soldier. Let us put on the uniform and take our stand as a Soldier of Jesus Christ!
