I just came in the house. I have been sitting outside on the patio enjoying the cool evening. When I first went out, I looked up at the heavens to see God's stars. There were only a couple of pale ones. As I sat there, it grew darker by the moment. I noticed that as it grew darker, more and more stars were visible. Now the night sky is ablaze with scads of stars on every hand. Life has its dark moments. Just remember to look up in those times, and God's hand is far more visible than in the hustle and bustle and heat of the day. The darker it is the easier it is to see His hand. Sorta' nice to just sit there and enjoy it. Well have yourselves a good Sunday mornin', and a fine rest of the week too. Remember stars are always there, they just are visible in the darkest hours.

Mornin' Shortgrass, thanks for this week's message. In today's busy and cruel world, it's comforting to know that the Lord is always with us. We don't know the intricacies of his plan but know he is the beginning, the end of this world and the HOPE for the life after.

Hope you got some rain in your country this week, without the severe weather I've seen on the news.

Your message makes total sense. I think in times of darkness a person just clings to anything they can find and sometimes that leads them to see or seek God's hand more.

The small community I grew up in a couple of weeks ago was strongly divided over some small town legend in his own mind coach. Then a young child feel ill and suddenly that coach doesn't matter and people are praying together and realizing what's important in life. Two weeks ago basketball/football was everything and neighbors didn't talk this week neighbors are talking and inviting one another to join in the fellowship of prayer.

Thanks for the message Shortgrass and a Good Sunday (what's left of it!) to all!

I just returned from a weekend trip through the Big Horn mountains (still snow on the peaks) to attend a wedding in Ten Sleep, WY. I had never been there before. Beautiful country and a very fine example of God's infinitely variable creation.

My uncle and his two boys came here from OH in 1975 on two motorcycles and went on to the July 4 rodeo in Ten Sleep. I see posters up around town for this years rodeo event.

The setting for the wedding was beautiful in someone's back yard with Ten Sleep Creek running briskly through it with cold water from the mountain snow melt.

I had never been in country that had highways with 7% grades for miles and miles at a time. It looks like there will easily be snow visible high in the Big Horns past July 4!

Thanks for your Sunday messages, Shortgrass. We have been traveling the past couple week-ends, so I have missed reading your thoughts in a timely fashion. The star story is a great analogy. Keep 'em comin'. :-)
