Good Sunday mornin' to ya. I wonder how many of us were at a branding yesterday? This is the season for that activity all across the ranchlands. I was at one. This morning, the babies are all sporting a fancy brand just like their moma's. The brand is a mark of ownership, so if the cow belongs to a ranch, the calf automatically belongs to the same ranch. It is NOT that way with the Lord's herd. Just because your moma and pappy were Christians, will not make you a Christian. We are all created by God, but actually belong to Satan unless we make a conscious rejection of his ownership, and ask the Lord to let us become one of His. He has already paid the price for us, and assured us that we can be His, but the choice is ours. Have you made this choice yourself? I have, and highly recommend it for all—how about you? Have a good Sunday mornin', and a great rest of the week too.

When we are baptized, the Lord puts His permanent mark on us, just as a rancher's brand puts his own permanent mark on a calf.

Satan no longer can make any claim on us, just as no other rancher can claim a calf with someone else's brand.
