I was contemplating the message for the day while showering and shaving. As I shaved my face, I thought "I have to shave every day, if I don't people can tell." With out shaving in a few days you are no longer clean-shaven. Pretty simple to understand that I guess. Well, our walk with the Lord is like that. It must receive daily attention, or you and others can tell. If ya let it go too many days, you don't have a walk with Him (you aren't lost or nuthin' but you are out of fellowship). Pretty simple to understand alright, but sometimes, I find it is hard to do. Hard, sure, but none the less necessary. Well have yourselves a good Sunday mornin' and a great rest of the week.

Sitting here at my Boarding Kennel thinking of all I had to do today and how I didn't have time for church. Listened a little to Charles Stanley earlier today and just read your post---- Called the wife and said--- I'll be home in time enough for Church !!!! Thanks ! :)

Shortgrass, I hadn't shaved all week so yesterday I cleaned up a bit before going out in public. Couldn't even stand to look in the mirror at myself!

Shaving is a bit like lawn mowing. If you don't keep on top of the job, it just makes it that much tougher going. I could easily keep up with electric razor if I would discipline myself to shave daily. As it was yesterday, it was darn tough going for my store brand twin blade disposable razor!

Our spiritual life is the same way. If we don't tend to it regularly, we just make the going that much tougher for ourselves.

Thanks for the message. I wish everyone a good Sunday and rest of the week too. It's raining a bit again this morning so that makes it a good Sunday here.

I shave with a safety razor. If I do an extra pass with it then I can skip my next days shave. My wife can tell and sometimes the kids will say something. The cartridge and disposable razors would not get close on my face and I would have stubble left.

After my shower it takes under 5 minutes to shave. If I take an extra minute I can get down to baby butt smooth with no irritation. I look forward too shaving unless I'm rushed or I'm stressed.

But the cost is something you have to look at.
2 large tubes and 1 travel tube of shaving cream. $15 to $25 depending on the sales I find.
100 pack of blades $50 use about 70 a year.
Blade safe $1 or a soup can with a slot cut in it for holding the used blades.
Aftershave depending on what my wife buys $15 to $30.

There is a cost involved with shaving, but spending dayly time with the Lord doesn't cost, it pays!
