Ranchers are pretty loyal to their program, and there are several good programs in practice. The truth is that once the carcass is hung up, you can't tell if it was Black Angus, Red Angus, Hereford or Shorthorn. I Samuel 16:7 tells us that man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Wonder if the heart reveals the color of ones skin? I doubt it. Ga 3:28 says that God does not differentiate between Jew and Gentile (that is about all the races), slave or free (rich or poor) male or female (liberation movements). The truth is we all have our prejudices that get in the way of Gods work, and we ought not tolerate that in our lives. Jesus did not differentiate when He took down the barrier between God and man (Ephesians 2). Just leave you with one question to mull over; is racism the same as prejudice? That is the topic of our Sunday School class today. Have a good Sunday Mornin'.
 
"Racism" anymore is mostly a word that the liberals throw at anyone who disagrees with them for any reason. People cannot help the color of their skin. We are all born a certain color, and our only choice is to play with the hand we are dealt. Good people come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Bad people come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. God loves us all, just as we are, and gives everyone an equal chance to accept his Son Jesus as our savior.
 
Shortgrass, as 'racism' too often appearing to be useful/used as a political tool to denigrate one official or candidate or another, seems to fill our TV screens all too often recently, could you share some of the comments and/or conclusions with us?

Other than the actual occurrence of racism being an abomination and damaging to the victim AND the oppressor, it is difficult for me to understand how anyone who is not totally ignorant or evil, can engage in the practice. What we ordinary, and somewhat geographically isolated rural citizens can actually do about it, other than not participating, and not tolerating it is somewhat puzzling, imo.

Racism is as old as the tower of babel. God confounded peoples language so that they could not conspire against Him. Jews were prejudiced against Gentiles. Often fear of what we don't understand leads us to mistrust and dislike other races. It is stupid, but people do it. At Pentecost, Christ did a miracle in causing everyone to hear in his own tongue, sort of healing the barrier created at babel. Now those in Christ can unite to serve Him. Soapweed had some good comments. This post is not to address political issues, but to hear what scripture says about the issue. Eph 2 is a good read, as are the other references, but Eph points out that God is building a house, and we may be asked to serve beside someone we may not view as "worthy" as ourselves, but we must work together to build His kingdom. Christ has torn down the wall between God and man; It is wrong if man lets the barrier between man and man stand. Hope these thoughts help. The political rant is not an authority on the issue; ignore it.
 
Sadly, Christians are being slaughtered and tortured around the globe, some to the point of genocide, the Middle East, Far East, Africa......many places. Caucasions of the faith are a big target in many places. This racism and prejudice is mostly fueled by a false religion that teaches "smite the neck", and communism, which sees the highest of government as "divine". Where Christianity is the dominant religion, these evils are rare, and not in the teaching of Jesus Christ. So many unpleasant things that Christian youths need to know for their own preservation. That's my opinion, fwiw.
