Good Sunday Mornin", I just got in from doing some chores, and was greeted by a kiss from my helpmate. Some ranches are well run by single people (a bachelor or widow), and I applaud them, but it is easier to work as a pair to manage life's affairs, be they rural or urban. God could see Adam needed help, so He made woman and presented her to Adam (Who gives this woman to be married to this man?) Adam had named all the animals, because he had been given dominion over them. If he wanted it to be a cow, it was, if he wanted it to be a pig, it was; what ever he called it that was its name. Woman was different. He saw woman, and realized she was his equal, she was just like him, only different. He gave her his name, the one God had called him, because she was his equal. It wasn't him any more, it was them. I gave my wife my name, and it became our name. It was not two individuals, but a union of two people to deal with the affairs of life. She has made my name a better name (and her maiden name better in the process), me a better man, our ranch a better ranch, our children much better people. What a wonderful helpmate! I know many of you relate. God sure had a good idea! One man, one woman, two genders, for life works real good. Have a Good week with your Valentine.
