Grateful for a good Easter weekend. It started out with a terrific, Good Friday service at the high-school gym about 20 miles from here.

It was packed. Chairs covered the floor, all full, bleachers were full and several rows up in the mezzanine. About 2000 people from the community, representing at least 12 churches, there to worship and partake of the Sacraments. And worship we did, on a beautiful sunny day.

Then we had lunch at our son's house in that town. We had an extra for lunch, a homeless guy that one of our family works with at times. He wasn't sure why we would want him there. But it seems like that kind of thing that the Savior would smile on. Gotta learn to do more of it - they are people just like us as it turns out.

Worked around the farm yesterday, visited with some neighbors, but always thinking about Easter Sunday. There's just something about it - there is no better day, in my opinion!

Today we celebrated Easter Sunday at church and then came home to have dinner with the whole family. How can it be any better than that? :-) We even celebrated with some early birthday cake for our daughter who won't be home on the day.

But best of all, He is Risen!

We had a birthday supper here as well. :D

Celebrating the same day as you guys.

Oh ya, we didn't really have a homeless man for supper but Dad never refuses a invitation for supper after eating his own cooking for a couple of years. :D
