Thanks Sean, saw those in the video as well, however was looking at the big blue round trough with black plastic on top and 4 or more holes in. Tank looked to be about 8ft in diameter.
Anyone used the SPI waterers, looking at the 352NG....any feed back?

Kelln makes something similar and also Sundog Solar.

Interesting. They use twice as much N as we do. We will get between 9 and 16 tonnes per acre without spending what they do. Every year those cows are out there, the fertilizer requirements seem to drop a bit. The weather affects yield as much as anything.

Other than that, they pretty much do it the way we do. This year was a really good year for corn. The cows are going to have some fun when they get home.

I put in two of these last fall they came highly recommended mine are the #404 Cost around $800 each and can be shipped.

Will they not freeze up in -30 c cold? Says they withstand extreme cold, but ..... Think I had picked up brochures when in Denver, will have to take a look.
Thanks for info!

Nope they use power just very little. A friend has had one for 8 years and has never had any issues as he has with other brands.

Does anyone know the brand name of the blue water tank with the black cover and about 4 holes for drinking.....trying to cut down my unreal electrical costs!

We have had them freeze in Missouri, so I don't think you want them up north.

I put in a spi a few years ago and if they haven't changed them I would stay away I had nothing but trouble the heating pad wont stay on the plastic bottom and then it will freeze and the cattle can knock the top cover off as it was just screwed to plastic then cattle break float off and it will run until you find it company sent a few parts but you couldn't change anything as it was all made of plastic and problem would start all over again I was sure glad to see spring when I could put the old ufa one back in. I am grazing corn now just small parcel and let them have all looks like they are going to waste lots but they keep going back and when they are done its cleaned up good and they do good for the early part of winter will post pics when have more time
