My Midget AA team had lost three games straight coming into this wseekend against teams we should of beat. We booked some extra practice ice and I gave my asst. coach free rein with the boys at practice. Well he turned them around-I tweaked my lines a bit got the boys back to basics and we beat the top two teams in the league this weekend. Nice to see talent play to it's potential something that we'd let slip last couple weeks-it's hard to ice a winner with one hour of practice a week but were trying. Some kids travel 300 miles round trip just to come to practice-you have to admire their dedication.

I gotta say NR, that I also amire you for your dedication to these kids, and taking time away form a busy lifestyle to give them their shot. Congrats on being a giving, caring member of your community, your giving these kids memories they'll have for a lifetime.

Why ty Silver I love coaching-there's some phenomenal athletes out there it's just nice to be able to see them develop. Kids are great they come out with the coolest stuff-keeps their coach humble for sure. I'm lucky to live in a 'hockey town' great coaches at every level-not an ego among them. My 9 year old girl is getting coached by an ex NHL'er-he asked me if it was ok if she played defence lol. I'm thinking-you played defence for the Edmonton Oilers you play her whereever you see fit but still pretty classy for him to ask. I'm very lucky a young guy moved to town-an ex WHL guy-I asked him to help coach-what an awesome guy-runs way better practices than yours truly. How far are you from Vanderhoof-Ty played in a tournament with a kid from there a few years back.
