First I want to thank you all for the kind words. I just got back from the desert, really a strenuous day. First I had to hike about a half mile to get in the middle of seventy five head of mustangs. Then I had to mill around taking pictures until my trigger finger ached. It was unnerving watching my back so some panic stricken young stud didn't run over me, while he was running for his life, with bare teeth inches from his back end. I was there for about an hour, just drinking up the beauty and excitement of the whole thing.
Twenty miles to the north, I found thirty five head grazing about a half mile from the wash I hid my truck in. I took a few pictures and then tried to drive closer. I got a little closer but not much before they headed down the ridge at a high rate of speed. Nine head stayed about a half mile above me and acted like they didn't know I was there. Another twenty two head about ran over me on the way back,,, but that's for another day.
