So Sunday at my church (Assembly of God) they had a "harvest party". Sort of an alternative to Halloween. Lots of different activities many of them geared toward the kids. One of the men decided that they should do an apple cider squeeze. So he contacted an apple broker to buy a tote of apples. He was quoted a price. He told the broker that it was for a harvest party at the church. The broker said oh if it is for the church, he lowered the price considerably. Ron went and got the apples. Paid the man. Loaded the apples on his trailer. As he was fastening the load the broker asked "so how many wards to you have in the Baker Valley now?" Ron thinking quick on his feet said "you know I am not sure of the number." Apparently the church and "the church" have different meanings to different people. But all is well that ends well. They made a lot of apple cider. Had a great BBQ contest with delicious tri tip. And plenty of activities for the children.
