That piece of ground hasn't been hayed for many years. There is lots of old bottom in the mix but the cows might like it this winter. It's going to be a challenge to get them hauled out the trail.

I have questions.Does the mower work better than a Disc mower? Not being a smarty pants is it more efficent than a disc mower? What are the advantages of using it? Never seen either piece in this area except for lawn ornaments? Please do not take my questions the wrong way.

Well our hay has been pretty light the last few years. I traded off a NH haybine as i figured thus had fewer moving parts. I suppose a Discbine would cut faster but our fields are rough so you can't ride your tractor much faster any way. I do have a V rake but in light hay this dump rake can make larger windows. The V rake is also broke down at the moment.

Your $250 was well spent. Now you will be able to trade off one of those fancy cab tractors for two smaller ones to cut and rake with. :P

Peach is either smiling at the overkill or raggin' on Soap for a cab tractor to cut with. :D

We have been looking for a used 70-80 hp cab with two wheel drive they are almost non-excistant in this area.

I just saw a 6400 open station 2 wd in the Tractor Finder but it's down near Soapweed. :-)

Those are a sweet looking rig especially for cutting straight grass hay-you can't leave the hay there and move cows to it-ration it out witrh some hot wire?

By the time they would need hay up where it is there would be to much snow to get there. They don't eat that old crested wheat standing very good. Needs to be force fed when times are tough.
